This week I introduced a new feature over on my Instagram account called Create a Mood Board with Ashlee. In my Instagram stories, I presented three choices for each element of the design for a baby girl’s nursery, such as wallpaper, rugs, and wall decor. My followers were invited to vote on their favorites for each element. Then, at the end of 24 hours, I tallied all the votes and compiled the mood board using the items that received the most votes and presented the final design in an Instagram post. I thought it was a fun way to interact with my followers and let them get a glimpse of what it’s like to make decisions about design elements to create a finished design. I hope my followers also enjoyed it and I plan to do it again soon, maybe once a month or so.
In addition to my weekly mood board feature, I also combined the creation of this mood board with my weekly Walmart Wednesday feature. All of the items used in this mood board were found on the Walmart.com website.
